When I heard Cursor was acquired, I immediately went to their website.

Not because I was interested in the design.

I was interested in what it said about the direction of the market.

And something stood out to me.

The websites that are shaping the future don't look like they were built by traditional website teams.

They look like they were built by builders.

Engineers.

Product people.

Founders.

The website isn't the product anymore.

It's evidence of the product.

For years, websites were driven primarily by marketing.

Perfect messaging.
Perfect funnels.
Perfect positioning.

Today, I'm starting to see something different.

The best websites feel more like a portfolio of capability.

They show what the company has built.
What they're working on.
How they think.

The marketing is still there.

But it's no longer carrying the entire story.

The work is.

That's one of the reasons I've started working on my website.

Less focus on looking impressive.

More focus on showing the systems, projects, and thinking behind what I do.

Because I think the next generation of websites won't be won by who has the best design.

They'll be won by who has the most interesting things to show.

I've been listening to audiobooks during my workouts for over a year now.

And I just noticed something interesting.

The type of book I'm listening to seems to shape the rest of my day.

When I listen to books that teach me a skill business, writing, systems, I feel productive...

but mentally heavier.

By the afternoon, I notice myself looking for quick dopamine just to recharge.

But when I listen to history or biographies...

my day feels lighter.

More creative.

More energized.

Same workout.

Same morning.

Different input.

I'm not sure what to do with that information yet.

But whenever I notice a pattern, I pay attention.

Eventually, it usually teaches me something.
